Hudson Taylor – The Man who believed God

RM 9.00

The lessons of faith which we learn from Hudson Taylor’s life are timeless. The principles underlying these lessons must be learnt and steadfastly implemented in the daily life of every Christian.

At a time when missionary candidates are being told by Mission Boards that they must find sponsors or regular contributors and even have resources handy for a quick return from their appointed places of labour, it is good to be reminded and rebuke as to how far we have declined in faith. Hudson Taylor’s faith-life administers to us this timely rebuke.

His vision, sacrifice and faith produced a soul-winning work which still goes on. This book qualifies to be a textbook in faith, and in fact was one for me when as a boy I began to learn practical faith.

It is a matter of immense shame and grief that despite our much-vaunted hi-tech paraphernalia, we have fallen far behind in winning a lost world to Christ and building true disciples. We need to turn a again to the simple, childlike trust in the God of Hudson Taylor’s.
