It is perhaps never easy for a son to be the biographer of His father. However, without bias, I am recording the life of one who passionately sought to be Christ-like, right from his student days. How richly God honoured and rewarded my father’s longings! As a close associate in his ministry, I have lived through many battles with him, seeing vividly the calm unruffled faith with which re reacted to unexpected events and impossible predicaments.

My father was a true mean of prayer. Indeed, of the many Christina leaders with whom I have served in my wide travels, it seems that few have had the practical knowledge of the outworkings and applications of God’s spirit and His word, as my father did. To my father it was given, in the manner of St.Paul, to see both evangelism accompanied by revival and the patient building of the spiritual lives of many young converts. To this day, these young people who were taught lives of prayer, faith and holiness by my father are witnessing in their ministries a continuation of the revival that first broke out under his labours. This revival is noteworthy by it long continuance, now after nearly sixty years since the first outpourings were experienced.
